Volunteer for Dallas Green Fest™ Today!

Volunteer for Dallas Green Fest™ Today! The City of Dallas Office of Environmental Quality is celebrating Pollution Prevention Week by hosting its 8th annual Dallas Green Fest™, sponsored by Living Earth, on Saturday, September 24th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.  This year, we will be at the future home of the Farmers Assisting Returning Military (F.A.R.M.) Urban Park at 700 S Good Latimer Expressway, Dallas, TX 75226.

Event Activities

This year’s event will feature over 30 green vendors ranging from colleges to renewable energy companies to honey bee experts and gardening and farming groups.  Additionally, there will be ten City of Dallas departments highlighting their own green programs and initiatives.  There will children’s activities, live solar power demonstrations, and a live taping of Shootin the Breeze on 1190AM.  F.A.R.M will also have their ground breaking at 12:00 PM.  You’ll be able to grab food from one of the food trucks, including Jack’s Chowhound.  For more details on all of the cool stuff Dallas Green Fest™ has to offer, visit the event page on our calendar:  http://greendallas.net/event/2016-dallas-green-fest/

Volunteer for Dallas Green Fest™ Today!

To make such awesomeness happen, we need volunteers.  We will need people at 7:00 AM to help set up tables, chairs, and canopies for each booth, direct vendors to their booths, work in the children’s area helping kids making seed bombs, be recycle bin monitors, and help with tear down after 2:00 PM.  You can choose which how long you can stay, and which activities you want to do.  Plus, each volunteer will receive a 2016 Dallas Green Fest™ t-shirt!  Sign up to volunteer for Dallas Green Fest™ today:  http://bit.ly/2cKflmy
