The City of Dallas-Neighborhood Vitality invites you to participate in the Fall Operation: Beautification Saturday, October 28, 2017.
The City invites community groups, faith based groups, businesses, neighborhood associations, schools and civic groups to participate. Individuals can also get involved by forming a group of volunteers to participate.
Operation: Beautification is a citywide cleanup effort in which the group selects their own area to clean. Clean-up consists of a basic litter/brush pickup on streets and sidewalks in our communities. Event start and end times are left up to each group and additional police presence will be available.
The City of Dallas has made it a goal to help neighborhoods become more viable, vibrant and sustainable with its adoption of the Neighborhood PLUS Plan. Operation: Beautification is part of this effort.
Registration begins September 1, 2017. See below for registration information. Registration closes October 23, 2017.
- There is no fee for trash/brush pick-up for this event.
- Each registered group will be recognized by their Council Member on social media.
- DPD will increase its presence in areas with Operation: Beautification registered teams.
- Neighborhood Code Representatives and Neighborhood Vitality Staff will deliver trash/brush pick-up route information to group leaders 3-to-5 days before the event.
