Join the Office of Environmental Quality and Trinity Watershed Management as we put on the 2017 Trinity River Wind Festival – Going Green on Saturday, September 16, 2017 in the Dallas Floodway of the Trinity River.

Situated just west of downtown Dallas, the Trinity River is the single largest watershed contained within the State of Texas and is a Dallas treasure! The Trinity River Wind Festival is a free, family-friendly full day event between the levees aimed at showcasing this expansive asset. This year, Trinity Watershed Management has asked the Office of Environmental Quality to team up and present the greener side of Dallas among the vendors and artists that will be joining us making this the GREENEST Trinity River Wind Festival ever!

Did we mention the event is free to attend? And we’ll have food trucks, kid activities, and kite-flying?

Not enough? We’ll also have the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center on-hand to showcase their beautiful Birds of Prey in action, the Dallas Zoo Animal Adventures, and Texas Discovery Gardens Big Bug Booth

Need more? Come check out your City of Dallas staff from the Office of Environmental Quality GreenDallas.net, Dallas Water Utilities Defend Your Drains, Strategic Customer Service 3-1-1, Park and Recreation, Mobility and Streets Services, Dallas Marshals Office, Dallas Aviation, Dallas Police Department, Code Compliance Services, Stormwater Management, and Dallas Public Library.

Still not sure? Come check out the Texas A&M Quidditch Team and join in on the Mexican Independence Day festivities! Stop by and chat with some of our American Veterans who have returned from active duty and are working to help their comrades readjust to civilian life through farming at the Farmers Assisting Returning Military (F.A.R.M.) booth where they’ll talk about their garden projects — including the site of last year’s Dallas Green Fest at the F.A.R.M. Urban Park in downtown.

There is no end to all the great things you and your family can enjoy at this year’s Trinity River Wind Festival – Going Green!

Mark your calendars, call your friends. Come down and enjoy the day!
